The contactor box is a crucial component when installing any Saunum heater rated between 12 kW and 20 kW. It works in conjunction with your control panel to safely manage the high electrical load required by larger sauna heaters.
Rather than the control unit switching the full power directly, the contactor box acts as a relay – receiving a low-voltage signal from the control panel and safely switching the high-voltage supply to the heater. This not only protects the control system but ensures reliable operation over time.
